A steadfast fascination with the number twenty-two first began with the sight of two white swans gracefully swimming in unison across a misty lake. Although the simplicity of that image will remain forever seared into my memory, the number itself has become an active part of my photographic imprint on the world.

Essex Steam Train Car, Essex, Connecticut

The Essex Steam Train is operated by the Valley Railroad Company and features restored railroad cars where you can find the number 22 bell, among other things. It takes you through some of the most beautiful country in the state of Connecticut including forests and streams, beautiful vistas and nostalgic towns, and some gorgeous views of the Connecticut River.
